                                                   Special Needs Music & Movement

Individuals with Autism, CP, Intellectual Disabilities, Down Syndrome, and other Developmental Delays are often unable to participate in typical extra-curricular activities. Reflections In Dance, provides a safe and nurturing environment for students to explore dance movements and to gain spatial and body awareness. Dance classes can be a great way to socialize, gain confidence and to improve motor skills.

Classes are taught by a dance instructor along with an Occupational Therapist, and/ or a second dance instructor with experience working with children and adults with disabilities. We also have typical children in the classes to give the students a chance to model appropriate behavior as well as proper movements.

We want to share our love of dance and its benefits with children of all abilities. With the use of popular music and classical music, students are bound to want to get up and get moving!
